DESCRIPTION: High-quality root canal treatment requires complete control over the operating field for the entire course of the procedure. A stable treatment field, free from biological contamination and visual obstructions, will improve your technical efficiency and is a prerequisite for long-term success. In this course, Dr. Nudera will walk you through his three levels of field control and teach you several methods and techniques designed to isolate any tooth in the mouth, regardless of its preexisting condition.
NuEndo CASE EPISODES
Welcome to Dr. Nudera's Office!
Learning how to practice endodontics is more than just shaping and filling canals--it's understanding the process and how to manage the entire patient experience. See how techniques are applied to real cases. These 45-60 minute videos are released monthly.
MODULE 1: LEVEL 1 - FILE CONTROL: THE RUBBER DAM
Rubber dam isolation is our first line of defense against indigenous oral bacteria. This section examines the importance of the rubber dam and discusses the equipment and materials needed to establish an aseptic treatment field.
MODULE 2: LEVEL 1 - RUBBER DAM: ISOLATION STRATEGIES
In this section, Dr. Nudera will show you six rubber dam placement techniques that can isolate any tooth in the mouth, despite its preexisting condition.
MODULE 3: LEVEL 2 - FIELD CONTROL: CARIES
Carious lesions are a contamination nemesis and can impact our outcome if not fully addressed. This section emphasizes the importance of caries removal as a primary factor for high-quality root canal treatment and long-term predictability.
MODULE 4: LEVEL 2 - FIELD CONTROL: SALIVA
In this section, Dr. Nudera will show you a simple way to seal the rubber dam to prevent saliva contamination and improve your outcome potential. In addition, you will better understand the available products and how they can be used to shore up our aseptic treatment field.
MODULE 5: LEVEL 2 - FIELD CONTROL: HYPEREMIC GINGIVA
Excessive bleeding from irritated gingival tissue can quickly obstruct our treatment field. In this section, Dr. Nudera will show you several methods that can be used to control this visual hindrance.
MODULE 6: LEVEL 2 - FIELD CONTROL: INTERNAL FACTORS
Bleeding pulps and draining pus can easily fill the pulp chamber and compromise our visibility. In this section, Dr. Nudera will discuss various methods that can be used to manage and control these extreme intracanal conditions.
MODULE 7: LEVEL 2 - FIELD CONTROL: PRE-ENDO BUILDUP
Structurally compromised teeth can impact our ability to control the treatment field. In this section, Dr. Nudera will demonstrate his favorite techniques and methods to restore damaged tooth structure before the instrumentation process gets underway.

THE ENDODONTIC ACCESS / 60 Minutes
The endodontic access is considered the single most important mechanical phase of root canal treatment. It represents the staging point for the entire treatment process and plays a fundamental role in canal management. In this course, Dr. Nudera lays the groundwork for understanding, designing, and creating the ideal endodontic access.
